More than a decade ago, Dr. Yi-Ning Su encountered a mother who had given birth to a baby with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and sought medical treatment multiple times. Due to this being a sexually transmitted recessive disease, she has been constantly criticized by her husband's family, feeling helpless and distressed.

Therefore, when the mother remarried and entered a new family to plan to have a child, her heart was filled with deep sadness and fear. Moreover, at that time, genetic medicine technology was not yet mature, and Dr. Su could only accompany this mother with anxiety. Fortunately, heaven blessed the baby girl with not inheriting any diseases. Because of this, Dr. Su determined to delve into the field of genetic diagnosis and synchronize Taiwan's genetic medicine technology with the world.

Firstly, Dr. Su established a molecular genetics laboratory at the National Taiwan University Hospital, and he developed technology and published clinical reports with full enthusiasm and mission. After ten years of hard work, it gradually expanded and flourished. However, the domestic medical environment still limited it to block many ideals. Therefore, he called on authoritative doctors and expert consultants in Taiwan's maternal and fetal medicine, genetics in medicine, and clinical medicine to establish Sofiva Genomics and a new-generation genetic diagnosis operation platform. They provide comprehensive services with professionalism and enthusiasm, offering more help and care to patients with genetic diseases and their families so that all parents can welcome their newborn lives with peace of mind.
